We are excited to announce the pre-conference agenda for the STC India Chapter 18th Annual Conference. For the first time, we are introducing an exclusive track for inexperienced/relatively junior technical communicators with 1-hour learning sessions conducted by veterans in the field of technical communication. The combined total experience of the speakers is 105 years; isn't that amazing?
We also have a full-day workshop planned for folks interested in DITA and XML authoring using Adobe FrameMaker. Track 2 has two interesting workshops of 3 hours each on “Design thinking and Video documentation.”
This workshop will present the principles, considerations, and data on how video documentation provides a better user experience to the targeted audience. It will also discuss the user experience principles based on which the need for Video Help is decided for a particular situation. The workshop will showcase three scenerios to evaluate whether a video help is needed based on the basic principles provided and would provide hands-on to create video help for one scenario.
Note : Participants can register for a singular track only and no changes will be allowed once the selection is confirmed.
IMPORTANT : The pre-conference participants are required to get their own laptops for the pre-conference sessions with the following software preloaded:
Track 1 - Trial version of Adobe FrameMaker 2015 and Adobe RoboHelp
Track 2 - Trial version of Camtasia Studio 8.6.x versions.
